Health Fund Benefits – Make the most of them

Want to learn about smarter ways to use your health fund optical benefits?

Some people will spend their optical benefits before December 31 for the sake of it^. But we know you’ll want to do better than that.

We’re here to help you use your health fund optical benefits to your benefit.

How? By identifying eyewear to that would be an advantage for specific aspects of your life. Like work, digital use, outdoors, sports, and more. We all use our eyes differently for different parts of our day. And one pair won’t do it all.

Could one of these be a smart use of your benefits?

Digital Eyewear
Spend 2+ hours on digital devices? Experience neck & shoulder pain, headaches or tired, itchy eyes? Relax and protect your eyes from digital eye strain with dedicated digital eyewear.

Prescription Sunglasses

Experience crisp vision and UV protection. Sunglasses in your prescription are no longer an indulgence; they’re one of life’s necessities for glasses wearers. Ask us about polarisation for an even better result. You’ll never look back!

Contact Lenses

Don’t let glasses get in your way. Enjoy the freedom, comfort and convenience of contact lenses (and they come in multifocals!). The latest contact lens technologies open up a world of possibilities!

Sports Eyewear

Whether you play the occasional round of golf or are an elite athlete, Sports specific eyewear can enhance your performance and comfort, whilst protecting your eyes against harmful UV rays and injury.

Reading Glasses

Wear multifocal glasses and enjoy reading and other close-work? A specific pair of reading glasses will provide clear, uninterrupted vision for these activities.

Social/Occasion Glasses

You wouldn’t wear the same pair of shoes with every outfit, so why would you wear the same pair of glasses? Consider a conservative style for work, a bolder design for casual wear and something more elegant for formal occasions.

Don’t settle for just another pair of glasses, for the sake of it.

Come in before December 31 and with our expertise, we’ll recommend the smartest eyewear investment for you and your life.

A 40 minute eye consultation could save your sight

Did you know that more than 86% of Australians rate loss of sight – as opposed to losing any other of their senses – as their number one health concern, and nearly two thirds of the population are more fearful of going blind over losing a limb or having a heart attack? Yet 4.1 million Australians have not had their eyes tested recently and one million have never had an eye exam. Have you?
The main reason someone visits an optometrist today is that they experience some kind of vision change. Unfortunately, many symptoms of eye disease are either invisible or not immediately obvious, so it is really important that Australians of all ages see their local optometrist before waiting for a problem to occur. This routine should start from pre-school years and then regularly thereafter.
Book your appointment and we will undertake a 360 degree comprehensive eye consultation, 40 minutes is all it takes. This consultation is the main weapon against avoidable vision loss and blindness by picking up early signs of eye disease so it can be diagnosed and treated.
